Online Entrepreneur Classes To Taught?

Rumors have it that there may be classes in the future over the subject of Online Entrepreneurship. This would be great as our society moves toward a virtual society. Many of the students and parents are excited about this possibility, although there are the naysayers. Even so, from what I’ve heard, it’s being given serious thought.

Learning how to make money online is never easy. Many students that attempt to start their own business soon fail for a number of reasons. This is why many educators feel it’s important to start a class on how to make money on the Internet and to establish a web presence.

There has been talk about merging the current Online department, which generally specializes in teaching students how to build websites and we applications, into this new online entrepreneur class. But there is nothing set in stone at this point. Another option would be to have a community college teach the class after hours and to give interested students a voucher to attend.

Whether or not this actually happens remains to be seen. If so, I believe many students will enjoy the lifestyles that an online business can bring, not to mention learning an important skill set like making money online. I can’t wait to see if this will come to fruition or not!

Notice: New Immunization Requirements Go Into Effect For All Students in Fall 2011

Well, as if the State of California hasn’t meddled enough into our private lives, the State has enacted new immunization requirements that will affect ALL students. Yep, even you Middle and High school students at Nevada Union.

Here’s the Official Notice from Nevada Union High School.

The State of California is requiring all high school students to submit proof of having received the pertussis booster (Tdap) vaccine prior to the start of the 2011-2012 school year. This new immunization mandate has been instituted due to the current pertussis (whooping cough) epidemic in California. This vaccine is usually given at age 10 years or older. Please provide proof of vaccination to the nurse’s office at your student’s high school before April 1, 2011. YOUR STUDENT WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO START SCHOOL WITHOUT MEETING THIS REQUIREMENT!

We are now able to provide the Pertussis booster (Tdap) vaccine to qualifying students at school, during school hours. Please pick-up the information and consent form from the health office or download the information and consent forms below. If after reading the information, you believe your student will qualify to receive this vaccine, then please complete the questionnaire, sign and return the forms to the school health office and your student will be called from class and the vaccine will be administered to them. We cannot administer this vaccine to your student without the signed consent forms. There is a limited supply so if you are able to get this vaccine at your physician’s office please do so ASAP.

Thank you for your cooperation in this important Public Health matter.

If you have any questions or concerns please contact the health office at your student’s school

Okay, so now you know. And like GI Joe said, “Knowing is half the battle”. You just have to add this to the long list of things to do before you get ready to head back to school this fall. Good luck Nevada Union students!

Welcome To The Nevada Union High School Fan Page

This site is dedicated to the Nevada Union High School. This fan page is your source for  information for students of Nevada Union High School.

NUHS.NET provides the means for you to try and get in touch with other students, classmates, alumni, teachers and others you may have known in the past. The simplest way to do this is in my opinion is to exchange Facebook pages by leaving a comment on this site. No logging in, no sharing personal information. None of that nonsense, just leave a comment on this page with your Name, Graduating year (or years attended) and your Facebook name and whether you were a student, Teacher, Admin or a Janitor :) . Then let other students and alumni find you easily.

This site, while graciously linked to by Nevada Union High School, is NOT an official Nevada Union High School site. Instead, it is built, maintained, run by, and paid for by me.

As a result, I have no information on transcripts, class schedules, grading, or any other official school function.

If you need that type of informaction, please visit Nevada Union High School’s web page and you’ll find information about contacting the school concerning those matters.
