If you’ll be graduating this year and are planning on attending college, then you should be thinking about how you’re going to pay for your education if you haven’t already. Seniors, the time is fast approaching for the deadline to get your information and student loan applications in.
You can stop by the counselors office if you have any questions. Some of you may be wondering how do student loans work. Just follow that link or ask your counselor as they will be happy to explain the process to you.
Also, if you haven’t decided on a college to attend, the counselors office generally has forms and brochures on any number of universities and colleges that offer programs for your chosen field. Be sure to check as many of these colleges and universities out before committing to any one.
Also, for those of you who do not plan on attending college, please be aware that there are vocational opportunities galore in our area. You’ll find these types of vo-tech colleges to be much more affordable with flexible class hours than traditional 4 year colleges. We encourage all students to think about their future and obtain some type of higher education.
There are many blue collar jobs that pay more than jobs that require a 4 year degree, so just because you or your parents can not afford to send you to college doesn’t mean there’s no hope for you getting an education and making a good living!
